Be it enacted by 'the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of War ·T¤¤¤¤¤ D¤¤;¤r· 1S hereby authorized to correct the military record of James Denny, of srgmm d"°h"“°' Company A, subsequently B, Twelfth Regiment Missouri State Militia Cavalry, afterwards Company L of the Third Regiment Missouri State Militia Cavalry, by striking therefrom the words “ dropped from the rolls by Captain W. T. Leeper, December tenth, eighteen hundred and sixty-two," and substituting therefor the words “ discharged June thirtieth, eighteen hundred and sixty-two,” and to issue to him a discharge as of date June thirtieth, eighteen hundred and sixty-two: Provided, P¤>¤i¤¤· That no pay or allowances shall accrue to him by virtue of this Act.N° p°y’°t° Approved, January 28, 1899. 'I5.—A:n Act Granting an honorable discharge to Prentice Holmes. · J¤¤¤¤'5’ 28»1899· · Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of Amerika in Congress assembled, That the President of the *{1•;L¤¤¤-M United States of America be, and hereby is, authorized to disapprove the mmap. °" ° adverse report of the military board, convened by Special Orders N umbered Two hundred and ninety-eight, Headquarters Army of the Potomac, November eighteenth, eighteen hundred and sixty-three, to examine into the capacity, qualifications, propriety of conduct, and eiiiciency of such volunteer officers serving in the division as may be ordered before it, so far as relates to Prentice Holmes, late first lieutenant of Company A, Eighty-sixth Regiment New York Volunteers, and upon such disapproval of the adverse report against said First Lieutenant Prentice Holmes, the Secretary of War be, and he hereby is, authorized and directed to revoke and annul Special Orders Numbered Five hundred and sixty-four, War Department, Adjutant-General’s Office, December ' twenty-first, eighteen hundred and sixty-three, and to issue to said Holmes an honorable discharge as of date December twenty-first, eighteen hundred and sixty-three: Provided, That no pay, bounty, or other §[,°,'f);’·Bm allowance shall become due or payable by reason of the passage of this ' Act. Patterson, late a member of Battery C, First West Virginia Light Artillery, and also a member of Company D, Eleventh Regiment United States Infantry, war with Mexico, and pay him a pension at the rate of twenty dollars per month in lieu of the pension he is now receiving.
