Republic of Hawaii shall be prosecutedgto final jud ment and execution in the name of the Territory of Hawaii; all suci proceedings, all actions at- law, suits in equity, and other lproceedings then pending in the courts of the Republic of Hawaii sha be carried on to Hnal judgment and execution in the corresponding courts of the Territory of Hawaii; and all process issued and sentences imposed before this Act _ takes effect shall be as valid as if issued or imposed in the name of the §g'§}§f§§;S fo,m,O,_ Territory of Hawaii: Provided, That no suit or proceedings shall be sm- maintained for the speciic. performance of any contract heretofore or hereafter entered into for dpersonal labor or service, nor shall any remedy exist or be enforce for breach of any such contract, except in a civil suit or proceeding instituted solely to recover damages for M¢f¤¤¤¤t¤€¤¤¤€¤· such breach: Provided further, That the rovisions of this section _ shall not modify or change the laws of the ignited States applicable to _ merchant seamen. _ m§’§‘}E,'f‘,§,iS0§°’S§,§l,§§lg That all contracts made since August twelfth, eighteen hundred and wid, sw- ninety-eight by which persons are held for service for a definite term, are hereby declared nul and void and terminated, and no law shall be passed to enforce said contracts in any way; and it shall be the duty of the United States marshal to at once notify such persons so held of the termination of their contracts. m§§§§£§§,§i;§_§’,§’;_l“w‘ That the Act approved February twenty-sixth, eighteen hundred and V¤1-23,p-332- eighty-five, "To prohibit the importation and migration of forei ners and aliens under contract or agreement to perform labor in the ignited States, its Territories, and the District o Columbia," and the Acts amendatory thereof and supplemental thereto, be, and the same are hereby, extended to and ma e applicable to the Territory of Hawaii. That the style of all process in the Territorial courts shall hereafter run in the name of "The Territory of Hawaii," and all prosecutions shall be carried on in the name and by the authority of the Territory of Hawaii. That the legislature of the Territory of Hawaii shall consist of two houses, styled, respectively, the senate and house of representatives, which shall organize and sit separately, except as otherwise herein provided. ‘S*Y‘€· The two houses shall be styled "The legislature of the Territory of _ _ Hawaii."
