Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representat¢}vee of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the city of Little Falls, §f§,“fg“{l§},f,*l{,§j{bn in the State of Minnesota, through its corporate authorities, is hereby my bridge.` authorized and empowered to construct and maintain a wagon and foot bridge, with necessary approaches, across the Mississippi River, for the purpose of connecting Broadway street east with Broadway street west, in said city. Said bridge shall be constructed to provide for the brfg**g0¤ 000 *00* · passage of wagons and vehicles of all kinds, animals, foot passengers, g ' and for all road travel. Sec. 2. That the said bridge authorized to be constructed under this u§;,fjf$§l{{u0f, Q;' *0 Act shall be built and constructed upon plans to be approved by the` Secretary of War, and shall be subject to the free use of the public under such rules and regulations as may be prescribed by the city of Little Falls. Sec. 3. That said bridge shall be a lawful structure, and shall be ml;,·ws{*;,jug;m0*0¤ recognized and known as a post route, and shall enjoy the rights and ` privileges of other post roads in the United States; and no higher charge shall be made for the transmission over the same of the mails, troops, and munitions of war of the United States_ than the rate per mile paid for the transportation over the road or roads leading to said bridge.
