Be it enacted by the Senate and House o_fRepresentatoPves of the United [ 1 States of America in (bngress assembled, That the Tanana Mines Rail- .*,}}.,,**1* mm. Bw_ road Company, or its successors, having a line of railroad under con- rm exempt from struction in the district of Alaska, shall be exempt from license tax mu and tax on its railway and railway property durin the period of its construction and for five years thereafter: .PromZ£d, That the total _ period of exemption shall not exceed ten years from the time of the passage of this Act: And provided fart/ter, That this exemption shall G<>¤<1i¤¤¤¤. exist and operate only during the continuance of the construction of said road in good faith, and in_ the event of unnecessary delay in the construction and completion of said road the exemption from taxation herein provided shall) cease, and said tax shall be collectible as to so much of said road as shall have been completed five years.
