CHAP. 1640.-—An Act Providing for the establishment of a life-saving station at April 19, 1906. or near Neah Bay, in the State of Washington, and for the construction of a iirst—class ls- 5026-} ocean-going tug to be used in connection therewith, for lifesaving purposes in the vicinity of the north Pacific coast of the United States, and so forth. Be it enacted by the Senate and House ofRq0resentatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the é-}f$:S¤‘¢i¤§,§¤;v;¤<:i Treasury be, and is hereby, authorized to establish a life—saving station neai11i($iin?¤y,v»is¤ii. at or near Neah Bay, in the State of Wasliington, at such point as the general superintendent of the Life—Saving Service may recommend, said station, in addition to the usual equipment, to be supplied with two self-righting and seIf—bailing lifeboats, at a cost not to exceed Maximum <=¤¤*· thirty thousand dollars. . Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United _ i States efAmerica in Uonqress assemble , That whenever the dead body {§y;jg{g,f,$,g},“;g{>¤*;·_ of any crson who has died from smallpox, Asiatic cholera, typhns lished. fever, the Iague, leprosy, glanders, scar et fever, diphtheria, or epidemic cerebro-spinal meningitis comes into the custo y of any officer, employee, or agent of the District of Columbia to be disposed of at public expense, the said officer, employee, or agent shall cause said body to be incinerated. Sec. 2. That the Commissioners of the District of Columbia be, and umuon. they are hereby, authorized and directed to erect and operate on reservation thirteen, commonly known as the WVashington Asylum grounds, in the citv of Washington, in said District, a crematorium of size sufficient forvthe incineration of all bodies that can not, except at public expense, be disposed of within a reasonable time after death, and for the incineration of such other bodies as may be presented for that purpose by the persons having custody thereof.
