CHS. 455, 457. 1907. 875 CHAP. 455.-Ari Act To amend section two of an Act entitled "An Act: to incor- Febmuy 2» 1907- Wmm the Convention of the Protestant Episcopal Church of the Diocese of [$*65384 ¤¤h¤¤zz*0¤· " [Public, N0. sz.] Be it enacted by the Senate and House q/"Rc esentatives of the United ` States of America in Omzgress assembled, fiiat section two of the *g¤tQ°*°* Q91¤mb*¤i Acti approved March sixteenth, eighteen hundred and ninety-six, r·m&¤¤X¤i¤u iisigcogal entitled "An Act to incorporate the Convention of the Protestant S{‘§'y'§§},}’,{gE{fu’?i°°“° • Episcopal Church of the Diocese of Washington," be, and the same is V0!- 2% P- 59- hereby, amcndcd so as to read as follows: " Sm. 2. That the said cor ration shall have full power and i,,IQ‘f.§‘,Q‘fi’}‘*““‘h°'**’ authority to take, and hold suggcriptions, contributions, donations, edV¤l·2°·P-59·¤¤¤¤¤d· grants, devises, or bequests, in money, real estate, or otherwise, which ' crctoforc have been made or which may hereafter be made for the purpose of an Episcopal residence, diocesan house, church colleges, church or parish schools, churches, or mission chapcls, and for the purgosc of creating :1 permanent fund or endowment for the support of t c cpisco utc in said diocese, anu to or in behalf of religious, missionary, cgaritablc, or educational agcncies’ uses or purposes now cxistin or hereafter to exist, under the jurisdiction, control, or sanc- ‘ tion ogsaid convention within the limits of said diocese, the annual . income from which shall not exceed one hundred thousand dollars, and the same to invest and the proceeds thereof to apply for the purposes aforesaid as may from time to time be deemed most expedient, and to appoint, in its discretion, an executive committee or other trustees, boards, or agencies, by whatsoever name or names they may be designated, to administer such funds or property in such manner and form and with such authority as the said corporation shall from time to time prescribe: Prmzided, however, and always, That in such administration mm. the respective funds shall be kept distinct und separate; that each fund m·,§§§‘“““"““°“ °’ shall be held liable only for obligations that may have been incurred in t J1¤v¢=¤¤¢>¤¤1>¤r¤¤i¤— its own proper bchoof; and that the principal sum or amount of such ` subscriptions, contributions, donations, grants, devises, and bequests for pcrrmment; endowment of the cpiscoputc shall be at all times invested in bonds of the United States, or of the District of Columbia,
