CONTINGENT, BUREAU or Mnproma AND SURGERY: For tolls, fer- C°“*i”¤°“°· riages, care, transportation, and burial of the dead; advertising, purchase of books and stationery, binding of medical records, unbound books, and pamphlets; hygienic and sanitary investigation and illustration; sanitary and hygienic instruction; purchase and repairs of wagons, automobile-ambulances, and harness; purchase of and feed for horses and cows; trees, plants, garden tools and seeds; furniture and incidental articles for the museun1 of hygiene and department of instruction, naval dispensary, WVashington, naval laboratory, sick quarters at Naval Academy and marine barracks. surgeons’ offices and dispensaries at navy—yards and naval stations, surgeons’ quarters at naval hospitals; washing for medical de artment at museum of hygiene and department of instruction, naval ensury, Washington; naval laboratory, sick quarters at Naval Acadhmy and marine barracks, dispensaries at navy-yards and naval stations, and ships; and for minor repairs on buildings and grounds of the United States Naval Museum of Hygiene and Department of Instruction; for the care, maintenance, and treatment of the insane of the Navy and Marine Corps on the Pacilic coast, and all other necessary contingent expenses; in all, sixty thousand dollars. _ TRANsroa·rArr1oN or REMAINS1 To enable the Secretary of the Navy, m},`,'j{j,*§g{Q§,§e};’_f,’§ in his discretion, to cause to be transferred to their homes the remains of officers and enlisted men of the Navy and Marine Corps who die or are killed in action ashore or afloat, and also to enable the Secretary of the Navy, in his discretion, to cause to be transported to their homes the remains of civilian employees who die outside of the continental _ limits of the United States, ten thousand dollars : Provided, That the Appnmiaouorruna. sum herein appropriated shall beavailable for payment fortransdportation of the remains of officers and men who have died while on uty at any time since April twenty-iirst, eighteen hundred and ninety-eight.
