That whenever in the construction of any of the tracks r£d*g¤¤*¤¤¤* 0* herein authorized it is necessary, in the opinion of the Commissioners 8' of the District of Columbia, to improve, by paving or otherwise, the roadway of any street occupied b such track or tracks, said company shall adjust the grade of its tracks to the new grade of the street or streets, the cost thereof to be borne by the said com any in the same 00**- manner as the cost of paving between the exterior ofp the tracks of the street railroad com nies as referred to in the preceding section.
