mmm naman WIIEREAS, the public lands within the Portales National Forest, np":-'gt;m1il,iel‘°x' in the Territory of New Mexico, are no longer required for experimental forest purposes;

H Rgnwrfd M we Now, therefore, I, Theodore Roosevelt, President of the United ° °m° °' States of America, by virtue of the power in me vested by the Act ` of Congress, approved June fourth eighteen hundred and ninety- V<>|· 30, ¤- 36· seven (Volume 30 Statutes at Large, page 36), do hereby revoke my vol 34 31,,8 proclamation dated the third day of October, nineteen hundred and ' p' ° live, which established the Portales National Forest, and do proclaim that the lands embraced within the said National Forest are hereby restore to the public domain.

Lands restored The lands which are hereby released from reservation shall be "’°" “’ "“'°“‘°'"· open to settlement from the date hereof, but shall not be subject to entry, tiling, or selection until after ninety days’ notice by such publication as the Secretary of the Interior may prescribe.
