AND Wunnnss satisfactory evidence has been presented to me that the Government_of His Britannic Majesty imposes no terms or restrictions, either rn the way of tariff rates or provisions, trade or other regulations, charges, exactions,_or in any other manner, directly or indirectly, upon the importation rnto or the sale rn the Bermudas of any agriculturali {manufactured, or other plrodluct of the United States which un u y discriminate against the nited States or the roducts thereof, and that the Government of His . . .P . Butanmc Maiesty with respect to the Colony of the Berrnudas pays no export bounty or imposes no explort duty or prohrbntion upon the exportation of any article to the United States which unduly discnminates aigainst the United States or the_ products thereof, and that the overnment of Hrs Brrtanmc Magesty with respect to the Colony of the Bermudas accords to the agricultural, manufactured, or other products of the United States treatment which is reciprocal and ezwivalentz _ Now, Tnnmzronn, I, rnuair Howsnn Tam, President of the ,,‘,§,*§§`f,“"“{, “{§,,,,‘;'g United States of America, by virtue of the power in me vested by l)r¤¤¤¤¤¤ B¤¤¤¤¤¤- the aforesaid Act of Congress, do hereby ma e known and proclaim that from and after March _31, 1910, and so long. thereafter as the aforesaid Act of Congress is in existence and the Government of His Brrtannic Majesty imripses no terms or restrictions upon the _ importation or sale in the _ ermudas of the products of the United States which unduly drscrrmmate against the United States, all articles when imported into the United States, or any of its possessions (except the Philippine Islands and the islands of Guam and 'ltuturla), from the Bermudas shall be admitted under the terms of the rmmmurn tariff of the United States as prescnbed by Section one of the Tariff Act of the United States approved August §, l909· Provided, however, that this proclamation shall not_take effect from and after_March_31, 1910, but shall be null void in the_event mw American cumthat, at any time prior to the aforesaid date, satisfactory evidence °°°°°'
