Be it enactedIrytheSenateandHo·useofRe esentativesof the United States of America in Gwngess asamnbled, Thht the Secretary of the y.¥m°D°°°h” G"` Interior be, and he is here y, authorized and directed to place on the *’°'”·‘°“ ¤““‘°"· pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension aws, the name of Marie Doughty Gorgas, widow of William Crawford Gorgas, late a major general m the United States Army, and pay her a pension at the rate of $150 per month in lieu of any pension or compensation to which she might otherwise be entitled, in special recognition of the eminent services of said William Crawford Gorgas in the eradication of yellow fever`from the island of Cuba and the Isthmus of Panama.
