If a parcel contravening any of these prohibitions or not con- ` forming to the stipulations 0 Article II be anded over by one Administration to the other, the latter shaH proceed in the manner and with the formalities prescribed by its law or domestic regulations. ti};_*°;}:°¤'*°¤***•¤¤°°· 3. All admissible articles of merchandise mailed in one country ` for the other, or received in one count from the other, shall be free from any detention or inspection vlvllatever, except such as is required for collection of customs duties; and shall be ilorwarded by the most speedy means to their destination; being subject in their transmission to the laws and regulations of each country respectively. ARTICLE IV. m,‘§,?g§_°‘°'“"‘°'°"’°' No parcel may contain packages intended for delivery at an address other than that borne by the parcel itself. If such in osed packages be detected they must be sent forward singly, charged with new and distinct parcel post rates. ARTICLE V.

viz: L¤U¤i°°" Sums- 2. In the United States for a parcel not exceeding one pound in weight, 12 cents; and for each additional pound or fraction of a pormd, 12 cents. mgm- 3. In Siam 95 satangs (about 35 cents gold) for parcels up to 1 poung in weight, and 40 satangs (13 cents gold) for each additional oun . D°“"°"· P 4. The parcels shall be promptly delivered to addressees in accordance with the domestic regulations of the country of destination, free of charge for postzige; but the country of destination may, at its option, evy and co act from the addressee, for domestic service and delivery, a charge, the amotmt of which is to be fixed according to its own regulations, but which shall in no case exceed in the United States five cents and in Siam 75 satangs, for each parcel whatever its wgéght. _ °“”‘°““ °"°‘·°‘°· 5. very parcel shall be subject, in the count of destination, to all duties and all customs regulations in force in Kat conmtry for the protection of its customs revenues; and the customs and other duties properly chargeable thereon shall be collected on delivery, in accordance with the customs regulations of the country of destination. ARTICLE VI. R¤¤¤*P*°*P°¤¤¤8· 1. The sender of a package may have the same registered in accordance with the regulations of the country of origin. D€¤*¤*F*°°¤*P¤~ 3. An acknowledgment of the delivery of a registered parcel shall be returned to the sender when repuested; but either country may require of the sender prepayment 0 a fee therefor not exceeding five cents in the United States or twenty-tive satangs in Siam.
