BY THE PRESIDENT or THE UNITED STATES or Ammuca. A PROCLAMATION Whereas a Supplementary Convention between the United States ,,,A£§“,,{" °“°“"° of America and Great Britain, providing for the accession of the ggyggmwgogergi Dominion of Canada to the Convention signed between them on rmnhme. March 2, 1899, concerning the tenure and disposition of real and v°"3’·P·“‘”· personal property, was concluded and signed by their respective ‘ leniplotentiaries at Washington on the twenty-first day of October, one thousand mne hundred and twenty-one, the original of which Surp lementary Convention is word for word as follows: . cm P `liie United States of America and His Majesty the King of the mm °"°` United Ki¥dom of Great Britain and Ireland and of the British Dominions eyond the Seas, Emperor of India, desirous of permitting the Dominion of Canada to accede to the Convention concerning the tenure and disnposition of real and personal property, signed at Washington on _ arch 2, 1899, have agreed to conclu e a supplementary Convention for that purpose, and have named as their plenipotentiariesz mm dm The President of the United States of America, the Honorable Wm °°` Charles E. Hughes, Secretary of State of the United States, and His Britanmc Ma°esty, The Right Honorable Sir Auckland Geddes, K. C. B., his Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary at ` Washin ton; Who having communicated to each other their Full Powers, which were foimd to be in due and proper form, have agreed upon the following Articles: ARTICLE I The p)rovisions of the Convention of March 2nd, 1899, shall become mgitiii°iid»§i°;i—e{£ applica le to the Dominion of Canada upon ratification of the present °"\¥0}§‘Q,§f‘,§f‘;*gS,,,_ onvention in the manner provided by Article II hereof. ARTICLE II The present Convention shall be ratified by the President of the u£Yh°°“° °"“'m°" United States of America by and with the advice and consent of the Senate thereof and by His Britannic Majesty. The ratiiications shall be exchanged in Washington as soon as practicable and the Convention shall take effect on the date of the exchange of ratifications. Dmum The Convention of March 2, 1899, may be terminated with res ect to the Dominion of Canada on twelve_months’ notice to that egect gven at any time by either the United States or His Britannic ajesty.
