[P'l"“’°’ N°‘8*] Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the bvrien¢ii¥ii»Jh¤Lg¤°¤(i¤°¤gf United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Treasury and the Comptroller General of the United States, be, and they are hereby, authorized and directed to credit in the aceonmts of the Treasurer of the United States the sum of $514.95, now carried in the accounts of the office of the Assistant Treasurer of the United States at San Francisco, Califorma, and representing a balance due the United States from William J. McGee, former Assistant Treasurer of the _United States, when the subtreasury at San Francisco was discontmued December 20, 1920, due to a loss in current and imcurrent silver dollars amounting to $454.95 and a further loss of $60, due to the payment of a disbursing oi·Heer’s check on a forged endorsement, these losses having occurre through Apmmm no fault onneglngenm on the part of the said Assistant Treasurer and for this purpose the sum of $514.95 is hereby appropriated out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriate .
