Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the claim of pa§’1§°"°SN°‘*°°C°¤· the Charles Nelson Company, a corporation, owner of the barkentine May brine suit rm- Monterey, arising out of a collision between said barkentine and the {,°Q1:Ls§ZTi¤$°°l?§2§¤£i United States steamship Henderson in the Straits of Juan de Fuca '°"'·i”‘“s‘“°“ °°“'°· on or about July 28, 1923, for and on account of the losses alleged to have been suffered in said collision by the owners of said barkentine py reason of damages to said barkentine, may be submitted to the nited States District Court for the Northern District of California under and in compliance with the rules of said court sittin as a _ court of admiralty; and that the said court shall have jurisgiction °"‘“‘“°"°" °‘°°'“"· to hear and determine the whole controversy and to enter a judgment or decree for the amount of the legal damages sustained by reason of said collision, if an shall be found to be due, either for or against the United States of America upon the same principle and measure of liability and costs as in lilre cases in admiralty between private P,,,,,,,,,_ parties, with the same right to appeal: Provided, That such notice m1*;g¤¤g° sgi ¢¤ M- of the suit shall be given to the Attorney General of the United Y ' States as may be }provided by order of the said court and it shall be the duty of the Attorney General to cause the United States attorney in such district to appear and defend for the United States: Provided further, That said suit shall be brought and com- ,,,§f’““"°°°°'“°“‘ °' menced within four months of the date of the passage of this Act. Naiden, now on active duty in the Air Service, United States Army, who during the late war was on detached active service in Italy, and was not notified of the opportunity to secure war risk insurance within the period of one hundred and twenty days fixed by section 401, article 4 of the Act entitled "An Act to amend an V°'·*°·P·‘°°· Act entitled ‘An Act to authorize the establishment of a Bureau of \Var Risk Insurance in the Treasury Department} approved September 2. 1914, and for other purposes? approved October 6}, 191x : p,.,m.,,,_ Provided, That application for such insurance be made within sixty '*`“¤° ‘°' “¥’¥"Y*¤8·
