1173 of Wisconsin b e and are her eby authorize d to construct , maintain, and operate a free highway bridge and approaches thereto across the Saint Croix River at a point suitable to the interests of navigation, at or near Stillwater, Minnesota, in accordance with the provisions of an Act entitled "An Act to regulate the construction of bridges over navigable waters," approved March 23, 1906 . SEC. 2. There is hereby conferred upon the State of Minnesota and Right to acquire real the State of Wisconsin all such rights and powers to enter upon lands estate, etc., for loca- tion, approa ches, etc . and to acquire, condemn, occupy, possess, and use real estate and other property needed for the location, construction, operation, and maintenance of such bridge and its appro aches as are p ossessed by railroad corpo rations for r ailroad purpo ses or by brid ge corpora- tions for bridge purposes in the State in which such real estate or other property is situated, upon making just compensation therefor, to be ascertained and paid according to the laws of such State, and Condemnation pro . the proceedings therefor shall be the same as in the condemnation or eee din gs n expropriation of property for public purposes in such State . CHAP. 195 .-An Act Granting the consent of Congress to the county of Allegheny, Pennsylvania, to construct, maintain, and operate a free highway bridge across the Monongahela River, in the city of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania . Be it enacted by the Senate and Home o f Representatives o f the United States o f America in Congress assembled, That the consent of Congress is hereby granted to the county of Allegheny, in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, to construct, maintain, and oper- ate a free highway bridge and approaches thereto across the Monon- gahela River , at a point suitable to t he interests o f navigation, approximately one and five-tenths miles above its junction with the Allegheny River, in the city of Pittsburgh, county of Allegheny, and State of Pennsylvania, in accordance with the provisions of the Act entitled "An Act to regulate the construction of bridges over navigable waters," approved March 23, 1906 . SEC. 2 . That the right to alter, amend, or repeal this Act is hereby expressly reserved . Approved, February 13, 1929 . CHAP. 197 .-An Act To provide an additional method for collecting taxes in the District of Columbia, and for other purposes . Be it enacted by the Senate a nd House of Re presentatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That whenever any real estate in the District of Columbia has been or shall here- after be sold for nonpayment of taxes or assessments of any kind whatsoever and shall have been bought in by the District of Colum- bia, and more than two years shall have elapsed since such bidding in, and the same has not been redeemed in the manner and on the terms provided by law, the Commissioners of =the District of Colum- bia may, in the name of and on behalf of the District of Columbia, apply to the Supreme Court of the District of Columbia, sitting in equity, for the purpose of enforcing such tax lien by the said District of Columbia on the aforesaid property ; and up to the time of the sale hereinafter provided for, such property may be redeemed by the Construction.
