SALARIES AND EXPENSES OF COMMISSIONERS, COURT OF CLAIMS : For salaries of seven commissioners at $5,000 each, and for travel expenses, compensation of stenographers authorized by the cou rt, and for stenographic and other fees and charges necessary in the taking of testimony and in the performance of the duties prescribed in the Act entitled "An Act to authorize the appointment of com- missioners by the Court of Claims and to prescribe their powers and compensation," approved February 24, 1925, to be immediately avail- able, $90,112 . 50 . REPAIRS TO COURT OF CLAIMS BUILDINGS : For necessary repairs to the Court of Claims buildings, including repairing, remod eling, impro ving, and en largi ng the heati ng, plumbi ng, el evator , and mechanical e quipment, to be expended u nder the super vision of the Architect of the Capitol, $5,825 . TERRITORIAL COURTS ALASKA : Four judges, at $10,000 each ; . four attorneys, at $5,000 each ; four marshals, at $4,000 each ; four clerks, at $3,800 each ; in all, $91,200. HAWAII : Chief justice, $7,500 ; two associate justices, at $7,000 each ; in all, $21,500 . For judges of circuit courts, at $6,000 each, $48,000 . MARSHALS, DISTRICT ATTORNEYS, CLERKS, AND OTHER EXPENSES OF UNITED STATES COURTS For s alaries, fees , and expenses of United St ates marshals and their deputies, including services rendered in behalf of the United States or otherwise, services in Alaska in collecting evidence for the United States when so specially directed by the Attorney General, traveling expenses, purchase when authorized by the Attorney Gen- eral of two motor-propelled passenger-carrying vehicles at not to exceed $2,500 each, and maintenance, alteration, repair, and operation of motor-propelled passenger-carrying vehicles used in connection with the transaction of the official business of the United States marshals, $3,672,500 : Provided, That there shall be paid hereunder any necessary cost of keeping vessels or other property attached or libeled in admiralty in such amount as the court, on petition setting forth the facts under oath, may allow . For sal aries of Unit ed States dist rict attorney s and expenses, including traveling expenses, of United States district attorneys and their regular assistants, including the office expenses of United States district attorneys in Alaska, and for salaries of regularly appointed cl erks t o Unite d State s dist rict at torneys for s ervices render ed dur ing vacancy in the office of the United States district attorney, $1 ,440,0 00 . For regular assistants to United States district attorneys who are appointed by the Attorney General at a fixed annual compensation, $1 ,130,0 00 . For compensation and traveling expenses of assistants to the Attor- ney General and to United States district attorneys employed by the Attorney General to aid in special cases, and for payment of foreign counsel employed by the Attorney General in special cases (such counsel shall not be required to take oath of office as provided by se ction 366, Re vised Statutes of the Unite d States), $3 80,000 : Provided, That the amount paid as compensation out of the funds herein appropriated to any person employed hereunder shall not ex ceed $10 ,000 .
