Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Etosaowh ah County, Unite d Sta tes of Amer ica i n Cong ress assem bled, That the c onsent t Ala., ma y bridge, at of Congress is hereby granted to the highway department of the Gilberts Ferry . county of Etowah, State of Alabama, to construct, maintain, and operate a bridge and approaches thereto across the Coosa River, at a point suitable to the interests of navi gation, at or ne ar Gilbe rts Ferry, in accordance with the provisions of the Act entitled " An Con struction .

SEC. 2. If tolls are charged for the use of such bridge, the rates to operation, s ink ing of fund, etc. ox toll shall be so adjusted as to provide a fund sufficient to pay the re asona ble c ost of main taini ng, re pairi ng, a nd ope ratin g the brid ge and its ap proa che s un der econ omic al m anag emen t, and to provide a sinkin g fund s ufficient to amor tize the cost of the bri dge and its approaches, including reasonable interest and financing cost, as soon as possible under reasonable charges, but within a period bridge, etc ., Maintenance after as amor- fr ee of not to exceed twenty years from the completion thereof . After tizing costs, a sinking fund sufficient for such amortization shall have been so provided, such bridge shall thereafter be maintained and operated free of tolls, or the rates of toll shall thereafter be so adjusted as to provide a fund of not to exceed the amount necessary for the proper maintenance, repair, and operation of the bridge and its tares Record and of receipts . i- approaches under economical management .
