PUBLIC BUIL DING PROJEC TS UNDER S ECTION 5, P UBLIC BUILD INGS ACT APP ROVED MAY 25, 1926, AS A MENDED The Secretary of the Treasury is authorized to enter into contracts for sit es or additi onal l and fo r publ ic buil dings, purch ase of sites and buildings thereon, commencement, completion, extension, remod- eling, and re habili tation of pu blic b uilding s in a mounts not e xceed- ing the respective estimated total costs herein set forth, as follows Altoona (Pennsylvania) post office, and so forth : For acquisition of site and commencement of construction, $250,000, under an esti- mated total cost of $574,000 . Appleton (Wisconsin) post office, and so forth : For acquisition of site and commencement of construction, $75,000, under an esti- mated total cost of $260,000 . Atlanta (Georgia) post office, and so forth : For acquisition of site and commencement of constr uction, $450,000, under an estimated total cost of $2,100,000 : Provided, That the Secretary of the Treas- ur y may accept title subje ct to the gr antors reserv ing ri ghts t o use of surfa ce for railr oad pu rposes and n ecessar y rese rvatio n for light and air . Aurora (Illinois) post office, and so forth : For acquisition of site and commencement of construction, $75,000, under an estimated total cost of $325,000 . Baltimore (Maryland) Marine Hospital : For demolition of pres- ent buildings and commencement of construction of a hospital, including auxiliary buildings, outside service lines, and approach work, $75,000, under an estimated total cost of $1,620,000 . Beaumont (Texas) post office and courthouse : For commencement of extension and remodeling, $50,000, under an estimated total cost of $125,000. Benton Harbor (Michigan) post office, and so forth : For com- m encem ent o f co nstru ction of a bui lding for the accom modat ion of the post office and other Government offices, except the customhouse, $25,000, under an estimated total cost of $120,000 . Boston (Massachusetts) immigrant station : Fo r ex tens ion and re modeli ng, $8 0,000 . Brockton (Massachusetts) post office : For acquisition of addi- tional land, demolition of building and commencement of construc- tion of a building for the accommodation of the post office and other Government offices, $60,000, under an estimated total cost of $345,000 . Brunswick (Maine) post office, and so forth : For acquisition of site and commencement of construction, $25,000, under an estimated total cost of $90,000 . Buena Vista (Virginia) post office : For commencement of con- st ructio n of a build ing fo r the accomm odation of th e post offic e and other Government offices, $25,000, under an estimated total cost of $70,000. Calexico (California) inspection station : The appropriation of $50,000 in the Act of May 29, 1928 (45 Stat ., p . 919), for the purchase of a site and building for the accommodation of the border inspection se rvices at Calexico , Califor nia, is h ereby ma de availa ble in th e alter- native, should the Secretary of the Treasury consider that conditions justify, for the construction of a building for such purpose, on a site to be donated to the Government, under a total limit of cost of $73,000 .
