RESE RVE FU EL OIL For the procurement and transportation of petroleum products, to be placed in reserve storage tanks, the unobligated balances of the appropriations for fuel and transportation, Bureau of Supplies and Accounts, fiscal years 1929 and 1930, are hereby made available for such purposes . Fuel acquired hereunder shall not be issued without the approval of the President . BUREAU OF MED ICINE AND SUR GERY MEDICAL DEPARTMENT For surgeon's necessaries for vessels in commission, navy yards, naval stations, and Marine Corps ; and for the civil establishment at the several naval hospitals, navy yards, naval medical supply depots, Naval Medical School and dispensary, Washington, and Naval Academy ; for tolls and ferriages ; purchase of books and stationery ; hygienic and sanitary investigation and illustration ; sanitary, hy gienic, admi nistrative, and specia l instructi on, includi ng the issu ing of naval medical bulletins and supplements ; purchase and repairs of nonpassenger-carrying wagons, automobile ambulances, and harness ; purchase of and feed for horses and cows ; maintenance, repair, and operation of three passenger-carrying motor vehicles for naval dis- pensary, Washington, District of Columbia, and of one motor-pro- pelled vehicle for official use only for the medical officer on out- patient medical service at the Naval. Academy ; trees, plants, care of grounds, garden tools, and seeds ; incidental articles for the Naval Medical School and naval dispensary, Washington, naval medical supply depots, sick quarters at Naval Academy and marine barracks ; washing for medical department at Naval Medical School and naval dispensary, Washington, naval medical supply depots, sick quarters at Naval Academy and marine barracks, dispensaries at navy yards and naval stations, and ships ; and for minor repairs on buildings and grounds of the United States Naval Medical School and naval m edic al supp ly depo ts ; rent of rooms for naval dispensary, Wash- ington, District of Columbia, not to exceed $1,200 ; for the care, maintenance, and treatment of the insane of the Navy and Marine Corps on the Pacific coast, including supernumeraries held for trans- fer to the Government Hospital for the Insane ; for dental outfits and dental material ; and all other necessary contingent expenses ; in all, $2,080,000 : Provided, That the sum to be paid out of this appro- priation under the direction of the Secretary of the Navy, for clerical service in naval hospitals, dispensaries, medical supply depots, and Naval Medical School, for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1931, shall not exceed $150,000 . CARE OF THE DEAD For .the care of the dead ; for funeral expenses and interment or transportation to their homes or to designated cemeteries of the remains of officers (including officers who die within the United States) and enlisted men of the Navy and Marine Corps, of members of the Nurse C orps, reser vists on ac tive or tra ining duty, and accept ed applicants for enlistment, civilian employees of the Navy Depart- ment and Naval Establishment who die outside of the continental limits of the United States, and former enlisted men who are dis- charged while in naval hospitals and are inmates of said hospitals on the date of their death ; for funeral expenses and interment of
