713 SEC. 442. RESIDUE CARGO . Any vessel having on board merchandise shown by the manifest to be destined to a foreign port or place may, after the report and entry of such vessel under the provisions of this Act, roceed to such foreign port of destination with the cargo so destine therefor, without unlading the same and without the payment of duty thereon . Any vessel arr iving from a foreign port or place havin g on board merchandise shown by the manifest to be destined to a port or ports in the United States other than the port of entry at which such vessel first arrived and made entry may proceed with such merchandise from po rt to p ort or from d istrict to dis trict for the unladi ng the reof . SEC. 443. CA RGO FOR D IFFER ENT PORT S-MAN IFES T AND PER MIT . Merchandise arriving in any vessel for delivery in different dis- tricts or ports of entry shall be described in the manifest in the order of the districts or ports at or in which the same is to be unladen . Before any vessel arriving in the United States with any such mer- chandise shall depart from the port of first arrival, the master shall obtain from the collector a permit therefor with a certified copy of the vess el's man ifes t sh owin g th e qu anti ties and par ticu lars of the merchandise entered at such port of entry and of that remaining on board. Permi ts t o pr oceed required. Arrival at another port. Permit to be pro . duced on. SEC. 444 . ARRIVAL AT ANOTHER PORT. Within twenty-four hours after the arrival of such vessel at another port of entry, the master shall report the arrival of his vessel to the collector at such port and shall produce the permit issued by the collect or at the por t of fi rst ar rival, togethe r with the certifi ed copy of his manif est . SEC. 445. PENALTIES FOR FAILURE TO HA VE PERMIT AND CERTI . manifest . and certified FIED MANIFEST. If the master of any such vessel shall proceed to another port or inR enallto Iitoroch district without having obtained a permit therefor and a certified port. copy of his manifest, or if he shall fail to produce such permit and certifi ed copy of his manif est to the col lector at the port o f dest ina- tion, or if he shall proceed to any port not specified in the permit, he shall be liable to a penalty, fr each offense, of not more than $500 . SEC. 446. SUPPLIES AND STORES RETAINED ON BOARD .

Supplies and stores . Vessels arriving in the United States from foreign ports may por ts essels from foreign retain on board, without the payment of duty, all coal and other board . fuel supplies, ships' stores, sea stores, and the legitimate equipment Dutiable if landed . of such vessels . Any such supplies, ships' stores, sea stores, or equip- ment landed and delivered from such vessel shall be considered and treated as imported merchandise : Provided, That bunker coal, Tnsfers of coal, bunker oil, ships' stores, sea stores, or the legitimate equipment of aiayea i sme line, if vessels belonging to regular lines plying between foreign ports and the United States, which are delayed in port for any cause, may be transferred under a permit by the collector and under customs supervision from the vessel so delayed to another vessel of the same line and owner, and engaged in the foreign trade, without the payment of duty thereon .
