851 CHAP . 830.-An Act To authorize the city of Napa, California, to puichase certain public lands for the protection of its water supply . Be it enacted by the Senate and House o f Representatives o f the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized to patent to the city of Napa, California, the west half southwest quarter section 5, the southea st qua rter s outhea st qua rter s ection 6, the north east q uarter northeast quarter section 7, the east half northwest quarter and the west half northeast quarter section 8, township 6 north, range 3 west, of the Mount Diablo meridian, California, for the protection of the water supply of said city : Provided, That the city shall make payment therefor at the rate of $1 .25 per acre within six months Mineral rig hts re after the appro val hereo f : P rovi ded furt her, Th at th ere shall be ser ved . reserved to the United States all oil, coal, or other mineral deposits found at any time in the land, and the right to prospect for, mine, and remove the same under such rules and regulations as the Secre- tary of the Interior may prescribe : And provided further, That the grant herein is made subject to any valid existing claim or easements, and that the land hereby granted shall b e used for the purpose for which it was granted, and if the said land or any part thereof shall be abandoned for such use said land or such part thereof shall revert to the United States ; and the Secretary of the Interior is hereby authorized and empowered to declare such a forfeiture of the grant and to restore said premises to the public domain if at any time he shall determine that the city has for more than one year abandoned the land for the uses herein indicated, and such order of the Secretary shall be final and conclusive .
