NOW, THEREFORE, I, HERBERT HOOVER, President of the United States of America, by virtue of the power in me vested by the act of Congress approved March 3, 1891 (26 Stat. 1095) entitled" An ¢~fi,~~g1103. act to repeal timber-culture laws, and for other purposes," and also by the act of Congress approved June 4, 1897 (30 Stat. 11 at 34 and Vol. 30 , p. 36. 36), entitled" An act making aprropriations for sundry civil expenses of the Government for the fisca year ending June 30, 1898, and for other purposes," do proclaim that the following described lands in Utah are hereby added to and made a part of the Ashley National Lands added. Forest: Salt Lake Meridian InT.1N., R.23E., secs.3to10,inclusive,W.~sec.11,N.~ NW.Xsec.14,N.~ofN.~sec.15,N.~NE.XandNW.X sec. 16, N.~, SW. X and N. ~SE. Xsec. 17, all sec. 18, lots 1, 2, 3,4, andSE.XSW.Xsec. 19,W. ~ sec. 30, and lots 1,2, and 3 sec. 31; InT.2N., R.23E., lots2,5,6,NE.XSE.XandS.~SE.74 sec. 17,lot5sec. 18,lots4,5,6,7,8,andS.~sec. 19,lot1, NE.X,E.~NW.X,SW.XNW.X,andS.~sec.20,N.~, SW.XandW.~SE.Xsec. 29,allsecs. 30,31,and32,S.~ sec. 33, SW. The withdrawal made by this proclamation shall, as to all lands Prior rights, etc., not which are at this date legally appropriated under the public land laws atIected. or reserved for any public purpose, be subject to and shall not inter- fere with or defeat legal rights under such appropriation, nor prevent the use for such public purpose of lands so reserved, so 101lg as such appropriation is legally maintained or such reservation remains in force.
