S . Dllk. adding certain Ian S in South Dakota to the Harney NatIOn Forest: Preamble. Now, THEREFORE, I, HERBERT HOOVER, President of the United Areaenlarged. States of America, by virtue of the power in me vested by the act of Ardt, lJ· 2994. Congress approved March 3, 1891 (26 Stat. 1095), entitled" An act Yol. 26, p. 1103 . to repeal tlmber-culture laws, and for other purposes," and also by the act of Congress approved June 4, 1897 (30 Stat. 11 at 34 and 36), Yol. 30, p. 36. entitled" An act making appropriations for sundry civil expenses of the Government for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1898, and for other purposes," do proclaim that the following described lands in Description. South Dakota are hereby added to and made a part of the Harney National Forest: Black Hills Meridian InT.4S., R.2E., SE.XNE.XandE.~SE.Xsec.32; InT.5S., R.2E., E.~E.~,S·W.XSE.}~andSE.XSW.X, sec. 5, NE. XSE. Xand S. ~ SE. Xsec. 8. The withdrawal made by this proclamation shall as to all lands Priorrlibts, etc., not which are at this date le~ally appropriated under thel'ublic land laws ctIected. or reserved for any public purpose, be subject to, an shall not inter- fere with or defeat, le~al rights under such appropriation, nor prevent the use for such public purpose of lands so reserved, so long as such appropriation is legally maintained or such reservation remains in force.
