[Public, No . 103.] Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States o f America in Congress assembled, That in order to extend and;widen Michigan Ave nue betw een Firs t St reet and Par k Place northwest, and to improve traffic condi tions, the Commis- sioners of the District of Columbia be, and they are hereby, author- ized to use for street purposes all of the land lying within the McMillan Park and the United States Soldiers' Home grounds which is comprised within the parcels designated A and B as shown on map filed in the office of the surveyor of the District of Columbia and num bere d as map 165 0, t oget her with any and all additional land that may be necessary for slopes in the proper construction of roadway and sidewalks . SEC . 2 . The Chief of Engin eers, United States Army, is hereby authorized and directed to transfer to the Commissioners of the District of Columbia for street purposes all of the land comprised within the parcels designated A, as shown on map filed in the office of the surveyor of th e District of Columbia a nd numbered as map 1650; and the Board of Commissioners of the United States Soldiers' Home is hereby authorized and directed to transfer to said Com- missioners of the District of Columbia for street purposes all of the land compris ed within the parcels de signated B, as shown on said map filed i n the office of the surv eyor of the District of Columbia and numbered as map 1650 . SEC . 3. That the Boar d of Com mis sion ers of the United States Ex changes withU .B . So ldie rs' Home sha ll t rans fer to the Chief of Engineers United So ldiers' uome . States Army, all of the land comprised within the parcels desig- nated C, as shown on map filed in the office of the surveyor of the District of Columbia and numbered as map 1650, to be used as part of the McMillan Park; and the Chief of Engineers, United States Army, shall transfer to the Board of Commissioners of the United States Soldiers' Home all of the land comprised within the parcels designated D, as shown on said map filed in the office of the sur- ve yor of the D istr ict of Co lum bia and n umb ered as map 1650, to be used as part of the United States Soldiers' Home grounds . AN ACT To revive and reenact the Act entitled "An Act authorizing the South Carolina A rD 22, 0 1932. [H. R . 1 085.1 and the Georgia Highway Departments to construct, maintain, and operate a toll bridge across the Savannah River at or near Burtons Ferry, near Sylvania, Georgia," approved May 26, 1928 . Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, Th at the Act appr oved May 26, 19 28, gran ting the con sent of Cong ress to the Sou th Car oli na and the Ge org ia Sta te High way De par tme nts to [Public, No . 102.] Savannah River . Authority for bridg- in g, at Burtons Ferry, Ga,, r evived . Vol. 45, p. 75 1, construct, maintain, and operate a toll bridge across the Savannah River at or near Burtons Ferry, near Sylvania, Georgia, be, and the same is hereby, revived and reenacted : Provided, Tha t this Act shall be null and void unless the actual construction of the bridge herein referred to be commenced within one year and completed within three years from the date of approval hereof .
