The directions of the lines refer to the true meridian. The tract as described contains an area of 4.516 acres, more or less. WHEREAS portions of what formerly constituted the Grand Canyon ti G~Dg C8D~ Na- National Forest, now known un(t":.,, the names of the Kaibab N ational A~~ &me r'le, Forest and Tusayan Nationai Forest, have been proclaimed the ~b~~607 Grand Canyon National Game Preserve, under authority of the act "'.' of June 29, 1906 (34 Stat. 607), entitled"AN ACT For the protection of wild animals in the Grand Callyon Forest Reserve," which pro- vides "That the President of the United States is hereby authonzed to designate such areas in the Grand Canyon Forest Reserve as should, in his opinion, be set aside for the protection of game animals and be re~ed as a breeding place therefor";' and WHEREAS it appears that the public good and better administration .Area diminished. will be promoted by eliminating a small area from said game preserve; N OW, THEREFORE, I, HERBERT HOOVER, President of the United _ States of America, by virtue of the power in me vested by the afore- said act of COJ!gl'ess, do proCiaim that the boundaries of the said Grand Canyon National Game Preserve are hereb!, changed to elim- inate therefrom all land lying east of the Colorado River and north of Location. the Little Colorado River unsurveyed, but which will probably be when surveyed in Tps. 32, 33, 34, 35, and 36 N., Rs. 5 and 6 E., Gila and Salt River meridian, Arizona.
