(a) On and after July 1, 1935, appropriations for the District of Columbia appe aring on the books of the G overnment and listed in subsection (b) of this section are abolished as such, and so much of the several Acts as provide for such appropriations is amended so as to authorize in lieu thereof annual definite appropria- tions, estimates for which shall be incorporated in the estimates of annual appropriations for the District of Columbia . 20 Stat . 102-107 ; 22

(a) Effective July 1, 1935, the appropriation accounts appearing on the books of the Government and listed in subsection (b) of this section, as well as appropriation accounts bearing similar titles on the books of the Government, are abolished, and any unobli- gated balances under such a ccounts as of June 30, 1935 , shall be covered into a trust fund receipt account in the Treasury to be desig- nated " Unclaimed Moneys of Individuals Whose Whereabouts Are Unknown." Any appropriations to which expenditures under such accounts have been chargeable theretofore are hereby repealed .
