AN ACT [H.R .9313 .1 To extend the times for commencing and completing the construction of a bridge across the Savannah River at or near Burtons Ferry, near Sylvania, Georgia . Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the times for commencing and completing the construction of a bridge author- ized by Act of Congress approved May 26, 1928, heretofore revived and reenacted by the Act of Congress approved April 22, 1932, and extended by an Act of Congr ess approved May 27, 1933, to be built by the South Carolina and Georgia State Highway Departments across the Savannah River at or near Burtons Ferry, near Sylvania, Georgia, are hereby further extended one and three years, respec- tively, from the date of approval hereof . Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Columbia River, United States of America in Congre ss assembled, That the consent Wash . Crown Willamette of Congress is hereby granted to the Crown Williamette Paper Paper Company may construct dike across Company, of Portland, Oregon, to construct a dike or dam across Washougal Slough . Camas Slough (Washougal Slough at a point near the mouth of Approval ofp)ans . Washougal River to Lady Island, State of Washington

Provided,

That the work of constructi ng this dike or dam shall n ot be com- menced until the plans therefor have been filed with and approved by the Chief of Engineers and the Secretary of War : Provided further, That in approving the plans for said dike or clam such conditions and stipulations may be imposed as the Chief of Engineers and the Secretary of War may deem necessary to protect the present use f°` power, etc ., forbidden .

and future interests of the United States : And pr ovi ded further , That this Act shall not be construed to authorize the use of such dike or darn to develop water power or generate hydroelectric energy . ~CComm e eneement and SEC . 2 . The authority granted by this Act shall cease and be null and void unless the actual construction of said dike or dam hereby Federal interests . [CHAPTER 478 .] AN ACT To further extend th e times for commence ment and completing the construction of a bridge across the Missouri River at or near Garrison, North Dakota. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Uni ted St at es of America in Congress assembled, That the times for commencing and completing the construction of a bridge across the Missouri River, at or near Garrison, North Dakota, authorized to be built by the State of North Dakota, by the Acts of Congress approv ed Feb ruary 10, 1 932, a nd Feb ruary 14, 1 933, a re her eby further extended one and three years, respectively, from February 14, 1934 . SEC . 2 . The right to alter, amend, or repeal this Act is hereby expressly reserved . Appro ved, June 12, 1934 .
