WHEREAS a Treaty of Friendship, Commerce and Consular Rights Treaty 01 friendship, commerce, and consu· between the United States of America and the Republic of Poland lar rights with Poland. Preamble. was concluded and signed by their respective Plenipotentiaries at Washington on the fifteenth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-one, the original of which treaty, being in the English and Polish languages, is word for word as follows: The United States of America and the Republic of Poland, de- sirous of strengthening the bond of peace which happily prevails between them, by arrangements designed to promote friendly intercourse between their respec- tive territories through provisions responsive to the spiritual, cul- tural, economic and commercial aspirations of the peoples thereof, have resolved to conclude a Treaty of Friendship, Commerce and Consular Rights and for that purpose have appointed as their plenipotentiaries: The President of the United States of America, Henry L.
