[8. 3433 .] Limiting the operation of sections 109 and 113 of the Criminal Code and section 190 of the R evised S tatutes of the United States with respect to counsel in certain cases . [Public, No . 394.] Criminal Code . Vol.35,p.1107;U.S. C.,p.734. R.S.,sec.190,p.30; U.S.C.,p.43, Operation of desig- nated sections limited respecting counsel in cases entitled "The Farmers' Loa n and Trust Company." Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That nothing in sections 109 and 113 of an Act entitled "An Act to codify, revise, and amend the penal laws of the United States ", approved March 4, 1909, as ame nd ed (U. S. C ., title 18, sees . 198 and 203), or in section 190 of the Revised Statutes of the United States (U . S. C ., title 5, sec . 99), or in any other Act of Congress forbidding officers or emp loyees or fo rmer o fficer s or e mploye es of the Un ited S tates from a cting as cou nsel, attorn ey, or agent for a nother befor e any court, department, or branch of the Government or from receiving or agreeing to receive compensation therefor, shall be deemed to apply to attorneys or counselors to be specially employed, retained, or appointed by the Attorney General or under authority of the Department of Justice to assist in the conduct of the cases entitled The Farmers' Loan and Trust Company (a corporation) as trustee under a deed of trust ma de by William Waldorf Astor, and so forth, aga inst Frank C. Bo wer s, and so forth (L 35/74 and L 35/75) pending in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York and in the Circuit Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, including all proceedings to review any judgment or decree that may be rendered therein, and any other case or pro- ceedin g invo lving the ma tters or any of th em inv olved in the said cases.
