Aviation cadets shall, commission. if qualified, be eligible after completion of their period of active duty, for commission in the Naval Reserve or in the Marine Corps Reser ve, with date of pr ecedence as of date of appoin tment as aviation cadet . SEC. 2 . The pay of aviation cadets while on active duty undergoing Pay . training shall be at the rate of $75 per month, which pay shall include extra pay for fl ing risk, as prov ided by law . The pay of aviation cadets while on' active duty not undergoing training, shall be at the rate of $125 per month, which pay shall include extra pay for flying risk, as provided by law . The determination of the Secre- Determination of tary of the Navy as to t he period during which aviation ca dets are training periods . undergoing training shall be conclusive for all purposes . Aviation cadets shall be paid, in addition, a money allowance for subsistence sub sisten ce and of $1 per day . AYhile traveling under orers to or from active duty, en po rtati on all ow or -while i n the performance . of such duty, th ey shall, under s uch regulations of :' the Secretary of the Navy may prescribe, receive transportation, and other necessary expenses incident to such travel, or cash in lieu thereof : Provided, That when traveling by air under Proviso . competent orders, they shall receive the same allowances for travel- Travel by air' ing expenses as are now or may hereafter be authorized by law for officers of the Navy . SEC . 3 . Aviation cadets shall, while undergoing training, be issued uniforms and equip- neces sary unif orms and e quipment at Governm ent expens e . Upon ment ; allowance. first assignment to duty after the completion of training, aviation cadets shall, in addition, be paid a uniform allowance of $150 . SEO. 4 . Aviation cadets shall, except as otherwise provided in this c adets subject to Act, be subject to all the laws and regulations prescribed for other regulations, etc . members of the Naval Reserve or the Marine Corps Reserve . SEC . 5 . Payment upon re. SEC . 6. Aviation cadets of the Naval Reserve and Marine Corps lease . Reserve shall, upon release from a period of active duty of four years or more be paid a lump sum of $1,500, which sum shall be in addition to any pay and allowances which they may otherwise be entitled to receive . SEC . 7 . The pay and allowances of aviation cadets of the Naval abl e pp ropri ation savai l- Reserve and Marine Corps Reserve and the premiums on their life Post, pp . 403, 414 . insurance shall be paid from the current appropriations "Naval Reserve " and " Pa y, Marine Corps ", respectively .
