Granting a renewal of Patent Numbered 54296 relating to the badge of The [Public, No . 230.]

American Legion . Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That a certain des ign pa tent issued by t he Un ited S tates Paten t Office of date of December 9, 1919, being Patent Numbered 54296, is hereby renewed and extended for a period of fourteen years from and after the date of approval of this Act, with all the rights and privileges pertaining to the same, being generally known as "the badge of The American Legion." " To the library of the Executive Office, two sets ; " To the offices of the Legislative Counsel of the Senate and House of Representatives, respectively, each, one set ; " To the library of the Senate, fiv e sets ; " To the library of the House of Representatives, twenty-five sets ; " To the library of the Supreme Court of the United States, two sets ; and " To the offices of the Official Reporters of Debates of the Senate and House of Representatives, respectively, each, one set . " SEC. 3 . The remaining sets shall be distributed by the Super- intendent of Documents 2 as may be authorized and directed by the Joint Committee on Pr inting ; a nd, af ter t he Sev enty- fourt h Con- gress and during each succeeding Congress until the residue is exhausted, the Superintendent of Documents shall furnish, only upon written application therefor, one set to each Senator, Repre- sen tative , Del egate, and Resid ent Co mmiss ioner who p reviou sly h ad not received a set of this revised publication . The `usual number' shall not be printed . "SEC. 4 . That the sum of not exceeding $20,000 is hereby author- ized to be appropriat ed to provide reimbursement for expense s incurred in connection with the revision of the precedents ."
