Farmers' cooperative demonstration work : For farmers' cooper- ativ e de mons trat ion work , in clud ing spec ial sugg esti ons of p lans and methods for more effective dissemination of the results of the work of the Department of Agriculture and the agricultural experiment stations and of improved methods of agricultural practice, at farmers' institutes and in agricultural instruction, and for such work on Gov- ernment reclamation projects, and for personal services in the city of Washington and elsewhere, supplies, and all other necessary expenses, $554,670 : Provided, That the expense of such service shall be defrayed from this appropr iation and suc h cooperative funds as may be voluntarily contributed by State, county, and municipal agencies, associations of farmers, and individual farmers, universi- ties, colleges, boards of trade, chambers of commerce, other local asso ciat ions of busi ness men, bus ines s or gani zati ons, and ind ivid uals within the State . Motion pictures : For the preparation and distribution of motion and sound pictures, and sound recordings, as a means of disseminat- ing information to farmers and others on the results of scientific research of the Department, and of teaching improved methods and p ract ices in agri cult ure, hom e ec onom ics, and oth er s ubje cts rela ted to the work of the Department of Agriculture ; including the employ- ment of persons and means in the District of Columbia and elsewhere, $79,000. Agricultural exhibits at fairs : To enable the Secretary of Agri- culture to mak e suita ble ag ricultu ral exh ibits at Stat e, inte rstate , and international fairs held within the United States ; for the purchase of necessary supplies and equipment ; for telephone and telegraph service, freight and express charges ; for travel, and for every other expense necessary, including the employment of assistance in or outside the city of Washington, $85,000 . Cooperative farm forestry : For cooperation with appropriate offi- cials of the various States or with other suitable agencies to assist the owners of fa rms in establ ishing, improv ing, and rene wing wood lots, shelterbelts, windbreaks, and other valuable forest growth, and in growing and renewing useful timber crops under the provisions of section 5 of the Act entitled "An Act to provide for the protection of forest lands, for the reforestation of denuded areas, for the exten- sion of national forests, and for other purposes, in order to promote the continuous , production of timber on lands chiefly suitable there- for", approved June 7, 1924 (U .
