53 STAT.] 76TH CONG. , 1ST SESS.-CHS. 442 -445 -AUG. 5, 1939 [CHAPTER 442] 1209 AN ACT ANACT August 5, 1939 To prohibit the issuance and coinage of certain commemorative coins, and for [H. R. 2750] other purposes. [Public, No. 278] Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That subsequent to the enactment of this Act no commemorative coins shall be coined or issued pursuant to any Act of Congress, authorizing the coinage and issuance of commemorative coins, enacted prior to March 1, 1939. Approved, August 5, 1939. [CHAPTER 443] AN ACT To provide that pensions payable to the widows and orphans of deceased veterans of the Spanish-American War, Boxer Rebellion, or Philippine Insurrection shall be effective as of date of death of the veteran, if claim is filed within one year thereafter. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That notwithstand- ing any provisions of law or veterans' regulation, awards of death pension shall be effective as of the date of death of the veteran of the Spanish-American War, including the Boxer Rebellion and Philippine Insurrection, if claim is filed within one year after the death of such veteran. [Public, No. 2801 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of War is hereby authorized to transfer to the control and jurisdiction of the Secretary of Labor that portion of the Fort Armstrong Mili- tary Reservation, Honolulu, Territory of HIawaii, now occupied by the Department of Labor under revocable permit from the Secretary of War dated August 24, 1935, and in exchange therefor the Secretary of Labor is hereby authorized to transfer to the control and jurisdic- tion of the Secretary of War that portion of the adjoining immigra- tion station site now occupied by the War Department under revocable permit from the Secretary of Labor dated September 18, 1935. [Public, No. 2811 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the library of the United States Coast Guard Academy, New London, Connecti- cut, is hereby constituted a designated depository of Government publications, and the Superintendent of Documents shall supply to such library one copy of each such publication, in the same form as supplied to other designated depositories.
