Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That there is hereby authorized to be appropriated, out of any money in the Treas- ury not otherwise appropriated, $100,000,000 for necessary tools, equipment, and facilities for the manufacture or production of ord- nance material, munitions, and armor at either private or public plants. SEC. 2 . The authority herein granted shall include the authority to acquire lands at such locations as the Secretary of the Navy may deem best suited to the purpose, erect or extend buildings, acquire the necessary machinery and equipment, and in private establishments provide plant protection installations, and shall be in addition to all authority heretofore granted for these purposes. The Secretary of the Navy is hereby directed to report to Congress within six months from the enactment of this Act a statement of all lands acquired under this section showing the acreage, location, and the price of each such acquisition. Approved, March 17, 1942. [CHAPTER 188] AN ACT To legalize a bridge across Bayou Lafourche at Valentine, Louisiana. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Chief of Engineers and the Secretary of War are hereby authorized to approve the location and plans of a pontoon bridge already constructed by Valentine Sugars across Bayou Lafourche at Valentine, Louisiana: Provided,That said bridge has been authorized by the Legislature of the State of Louisiana and as located and constructed affords reason- ably free, easy, and unobstructed navigation. SE. 2 . When the location and plans of said bridge have been approved as provided in section 1 of this Act, said bridge shall be deemed a lawful structure and subject to the laws enacted by Congress 172
