S. 267] AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE GOVERNMENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA AND THE GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF BOLIVIA In conformity with the request of the Government of the Republic of Bolivia to the Government of the United States of America, the President of the United States of America has authorized the ap- pointment of officers to constitute a Military Mission to the Republic of Bolivia under the conditions specified below: TITLE I Purpose and Duration ARTICLE 1. The purpose of this Mission is to cooperate with the Minister of National Defense of Bolivia and to serve as instructors at the Bolivian Staff College, the Military Geographic Institute, and The Schools of Arms Application and for such other purposes as may be agreed upon by the Chief of the Mission and the Minister of National Defense. ARTICLE 2. This Mission shall continue for a period of four years from the date of the signing of this Agreement by the accredited rep- resentatives of the Government of the United States of America and the Government of Bolivia, unless previously terminated or extended as hereinafter provided. Any member of the Mission may be recalled at any time, upon the ACUERDO ENTRE EL GOBIERNO DE LOS ESTADOS UNIDOS DE AMERICA Y EL GOBIERNO DE LA REPUBLICA DE BOLIVIA De conformidad con la solicitud del Gobierno de la Repdblica de Bolivia al Gobierno de los Estados Unidos de America, el Presidente de los Estados Unidos de America ha autorizado el nombramiento de oficiales para constituir una Misi6n Militar en la Repiblica de Bolivia de acuerdo con las condi- ciones estipuladas a continuaci6n: TITULO I Objeto y Duraci6n ARTfCULO 1. El objeto de esta Misi6n es cooperar con el Ministro de Defensa Nacional de Bolivia y servir de instructores en la Escuela de Guerra de Bolivia, en el Insti- tuto Militar Geogrifico, en las Escuelas de Aplicaci6n de Armas, y para cualquier otro prop6sito que acordaran el Jefe de la Misi6n y el Ministro de Defensa Nacional. ARTfCULO 2. Esta Misi6n con- tinuara por un perfodo de cuatro afios a partir de la fecha de la firma de este Acuerdo por los representantes acreditados del Gobierno de los Estados Unidos de America y del Gobierno de Bolivia, siempre que no sea ter- minado antes o prorrogado en la forma que se establece mas adelante.
