[CHAPTER 1] AKT At' January 18, 1944 To permit the construction, maintenance, and use of certain pipe lines for steam- [B. 691] heating purposes in the District of Columbia. [Pubic Law m220 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Conqress assembled, That the Com- missioners of the District of Columbia are authorized to grant per- mission to the Mayflower Hotel Corporation, a corporation organized under the laws of the State of Delaware and doing business in the District of Columbia, its successors and assigns, and the owner of lot 88, square 162, on the south side of De Sales Street Northwest, between Connecticut Avenue and Seventeenth Street, and lot 12, square 162, on the north side of De Sales Street Northwest, between Connecticut Avenue and Seventeenth Street, to lay down, construct, maintain, and use a pipe line for the carriage of steam heat, together with a necessary return pipe line, from a point within said lot 88, square 162, across De Sales Street Northwest, to a point within said lot 12, square 162. SEO. 2 . The construction and use of such pipe lines shall be under such regulations and rentals as the Commissioners of the District of Columbia may prescribe and all plans and specifications for such Mayflower Hotel Corporation, D .
