Economic Section. CARACAS, October 13, 1944 MR. AMBASSADOR: I have the honor to address Your Excellency to communicate to you that the Government of Venezuela, in exercise of the power conferred upon it by the 8th clause of article 17 of the Customs Tariff Law, has decided to renew for another year the modus vivendi concluded between our two countries October 13, 1942, as renewed October 13, 1943, on rubber trade and production, in conformity with the provision in the last paragraph of the said agreement.
