1626 INTERNATIONAL AGREEMENTS OTHER THAN TREATIES [59 STAT. whereunder expenses properly incurred by the Commission are paid by the Canadian Government, one-half being recoverable later by Canada from the United States, should be followed with respect to expenditures incurred by the Commission for the proposed remedial works. The Government of the United States agrees to this pro- cedure and, subject to the limits of the above-quoted appropriation, will reimburse the Canadian Government for one-half of the joint expenses properly incurred by the Commission in connection with the remedial works in question, the full amount of such expenses having been paid by the Government of Canada, it being understood that in the settlement of such amounts the procedure now observed by the two governments in settling the joint expenses of the Com- mission will be followed.
