[H R. 4947] [Private Law 8401 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary Ethel Guenther. of the Treasury is authorized and directed to pay, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to Ethel Guenther, Clarinda, Iowa, the sum of $3,268.51. The payment of such sum shall be in full settlement of all claims of the said Ethel Guenther against the United States on account of personal injuries and prop- erty damage sustained by her as the result of a collision, on Decem- ber 6, 1944, on United States Highway Numbered 71, about one mile south of Clarinda, Iowa, involving the automobile which she was driving and a United States Army truck: Provided, That no part of the amount appropriated in this Act in excess of 10 per centum thereof shall be paid or delivered to or received by any agent or attorney on account of services rendered in connection with this claim, and the same shall be unlawful, any contract to the contrary notwithstanding. [. t. 193 (Private Law 8411 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary Albert Whllden. of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of $4,500 to Albert Whilden, of Millville, New Jersey, in full settlement of all claims against the United States for damages sus- tained by him as the result of an accident which occurred on the south- east corner of High and Main Streets in Millville, New Jersey, on June 27, 1945, when he was struck by a piece of equipment which had fallen from an Army airplane: Provided, That no part of the amount appropriated in this Act in excess of 10 per centum thereof shall be paid or delivered to or received by any agent or attorney on account of services rendered in connection with this claim, and the same shall be unlawful, any contract to the contrary notwithstanding.
