3974 Further financing. Ante, pp. 3961, 3964, 3965. Effective date. Post. p. 3977. INTERNATIONAL AGREEMENTS OTHER THAN TREATIES [62 STAT. CLAUSE III The Cooperative Food Production Program shall be further financed by the parties during the period ending June 30, 1948 as follows: A. The Institute shall contribute Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars ($25,000) which shall be deposited to the credit of the joint account referred to in Clause II hereof on or before January 15, 1948. B. The Republic shall deposit in the said joint account referred to in Clause II hereof the equivalent in Haitian currency of Seventy-Five Thousand Dollars ($75,000) (USC), computed at the conversion rate of 5 Gourdes per U. S . dollar in accordance with the following schedule: On or before the date of execution of this Supple- mental Agreement ................... . . . . . $25,000 On or before January 15, 1948 ............. 25, 000 On or before March 15, 1948 .............. 25,000 Total $75, 000 C. The funds, deposited to the joint account referred to in Clause II hereof by either the Republic as to its second required deposit (equivalent of $25,000 USC) or the Institute as to its only de- posit of $25,000, shall not be expended until both such deposits have been made as herein provided. CLAUSE IV All of the terms and conditions of the Basic Agreement which are not contrary to or inconsistent with the provisions of this Supple- mental Agreement shall continue to remain in effect and be completely binding upon the parties hereto. CLAUSE V This Supplemental Agreement shall become effective as soon as ap- propriate diplomatic notes confirming and accepting the terms of this Supplemental Agreement have been exchanged [1] between the Secretariat of State for Foreign Affairs of the Republic and the Embassy of the United States of America to Haiti. IN wiTNEss WHEREOF, The parties hereto have caused this Supple- mental Agreement to be executed by their duly authorized representa- tives, in duplicate, in the English and French languages at Port-au - Prince, Haiti, this eighth day of January , 1948.
