Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of $3,500 to King V. Clark, of Horse Cave, Kentucky, in full settlement of all claims against the United States for personal injuries, medical and hospital expenses sustained as a result of an accident involving a United States Army vehicle on the Fort Knox, Kentucky, Reservation, on or about July 13, 1941: Provided,That no part of the amount appropriated in this Act in excess of 10 per centum thereof shall be paid or delivered to or received by any agent or attorney on account of services rendered in connection with this claim, and the same shall be unlawful, any contract to the contrary notwithstanding. [CHAPTER 635] AN ACT For the relief of Mrs. Mary Capodanno, and the legal guardian of Vincent Capodanno. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Treasury is authorized and directed to pay, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to Mrs. Mary Capodanno, of Somerville, Massachusetts, the sum of $884.84, and to the legal guardian of Vincent Capodanno, of Somerville, Massachusetts, the sum of $354.93 . The payment of such sums shall be in full settlement of all claims against the United States and against Francis M. Regan, an employee of the United States, of the said Mrs. Mary Capodanno and on behalf of the said Vincent Capodanno for personal injuries sustained by them, resulting from an accident which occurred on April 8, 1944, when the car in which the said Mrs. Mary Capodanno and the said Vincent Capodanno were riding, was struck by a United States Navy truck at the intersection of Webster Avenue and Prospect Street, Somerville, Massachusetts: Provided, That no part of the amount appropriated in this Act in excess of 10 per centum thereof shall be paid or delivered to or received by any agent or attorney on account of services rendered in connection with this claim, and the same shall be unlawful, any contract to the contrary notwithstanding.
