Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of Amet'ica in Congress ossemMed^ That the Export- Bank°A'"t^'f^i94V Import Bank Act of 1945, as amended (59 Stat. 526, 666; 61 Stat. 130), amendment. ° ' 12 U. is hereby amended in the following particulars: ^^ ^" ^" ^' * '^^ note. (a) By deleting from section 6 the words "two and one-half" and substituting in lieu thereof the words "three and one-half"; and (b) By deleting from section 7 the words "three and one-half" and substituting in lieu thereof the words "four and one-half"; and (c) By deleting from section 8 the date "June 30, 1953" and substituting in lieu thereof the date "June 30, 1958". AN ACT To establish a Department of Food Services in the public schools of the District of Columbia, and for other purposes.

1. That there is hereby created in the public schools of the se?^c*e^s™Tstabfi3h^ District of Columbia a Department of Food Services, which Depart- ment. ment, under the direction and control of the Board of Education of the District of Columbia, hereinafter referred to as the "Board", is hereby authorized to conduct a centralized system of public school cafeterias, lunchrooms, and related services, hereinafter referred to as "food services". SEC. 2. For carrying out the purposes of this Act, the Board is empowered— Office of (a) to establish in the Department of Food Services an Office Management.Central of Central Management consisting of a Director and Assistant Directors of Food Services, whose compensation shall be fixed in accordance with the District of Columbia Teachers' Salary Act 61 Stat. 248. of 1947, as amended; Rules (b) to make and enforce such rules and regulations as it deems tions. and regulanecessary for the government of the Department of Food Services and for the use and enjoyment of the facilities and services of such department; (c) upon the written recommendation of the Superintendent soS°*^^™^°* ^ " ^^ of Schools, to employ such personnel as may be required to manage cafeterias, lunchrooms, and related services and to conduct the Office of Central Management.
