PUBLIC LAW 188—OCT. 22, 1951

SEC. 5. The benefits provided in this Act shall not be available to any veteran who has not made application for such benefits to the Administrator within three years after the effective date of this Act, or within three years after the date of the veteran's discharge or release from active service if the veteran is not discharged or released until on or after said effective date. SEC. 6. There is hereby authorized to be appropriated to the Veterans' Administration, out of any moneys in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, such sums as may be required to curry into effect the provisions of this Act.
