SELECTIVE SERVICE SYSTEM SALARIES AND EXPENSES

For an additional amount for "Salaries and expenses", $2,955,000; and the limitations under this head in the Supplemental Appropriation Act, 1952, on the amount available for expenses of National ^s Stat. 745. Administration, Planning, Training, and Records Management is increased from "$1,856,000" to "$2,042,000", and on the amount available for expenses of State Administration, Planning, Training, and Records Servicing is increased from "$6,454,000" to "$7,360,000": Provided, That effective as of the first day of the first pay period which began after June 30, 1951, and within ninety days from the date of enactment of this Act, the rate of compensation of any employee of a local board or appeal board may be increased pursuant to the authority contained in section 10 of the Universal Military Training and Serv- s t " ^75.** ^^^' ^^ ice Act, as amended: Provided further, That such increases may be so uscapp.460. made retroactively effective on the same basis as if they had been authorized by Public Law 201, approved October 24, 1951. ^s Stat. 612.
