SOCIAL SECURITY ADMINISTRATION BUREAU OF OLD-AGE AND SURVIVORS INSURANCE
None of the funds available to the Bureau of Old-Age and Survivors Insurance shall be used to pay any costs, direct or indirect, of moving any group of employees of the Bureau from Baltimore, Maryland, to "Washington, District of Columbia. For an additional amount for "Salaries and expenses", $5,000,000, to be derived by transfer from the Federal Old-Age and Survivors Insurance Trust Fund. ADVANCES TO STATES, N E X T SUCCEEDING F I S C A L YEAR
For making, after May 31 of the current fiscal year, advances to States under section 221(e) of the Social Security Act, as amended, for the first quarter of the next succeeding fiscal year, such sums as may be necessary from the above authorization may be expended from the Federal Old-Age and Survivors Insurance Trust Fund. The two immediately preceding paragraphs under the head "Bureau of Old-Age and Survivors Insurance" in this Act shall be effective only upon enactment into law of H. R. 9366 or similar legislation of the Eighty-third Congress.

For construction of an office building and appurtenant facilities for the Bureau of Old-Age and Survivors Insurance, including equipment, acquisition of land (including donations thereof), and preparation of plans and specifications, $20,000,000, to be derived from the Federal Old-Age and Survivors Insurance Trust Fund and to remain available until expended. For an additional amount for "Salaries and expenses. Office of the Secretary", $50,000, of which $35,000 shall be available only for administrative and operational studies. N A T I O N A L ADVISORY COMMITTEE O N EDUCATION
For expenses necessary for the National Advisory Committee on Education, as authorized by the Act of July 26, 1954 (Public Law 532), $25,000.
