Sucli report shall include, among other matters, the following— (1) information, in summary and in detail, with respect to actions by the Postmaster General taken under section 201, with specific reference to the definitions of positions, the designations of the respective salary levels to which such positions are assigned, and the reasons for such actions; (2) a statement showing the number of employees determined to be in each key position under section 208, and the occupational titles of such employees immediately prior to the conversion of such employees under section 304(b); (3) a statement with respect to the operation of the appeals system prescribed by section 202, including the number of such appeals by employees, a general discussion of the reasons for such appeals, the actions taken thereon and the reasons therefor; and (4) such other information and evidence as is necessary to enable the Committees on Post Office and Civil Service of the Senate and the House of Representatives to carry out the responsibility for supervision and review of the administration of this title, in accordance with section 136 of the Legislative Reorganization Act of 1946 (Public Law 601, Seventy-ninth Congress). (b) The report submitted by the Postmaster General under subsection (a) of this section shall be delivered to the President of the Senate and to the Speaker of the House of Representatives on the same day, and shall be referred to the Committees on Post Office and Civil Service of both Houses. The report shall be printed as a House Document. TITLE III—BASIC SALARY SCHEDULES POSTAL P I E L D SERVICE

SCHEDULE

SEC. 301. (a) There is established a basic salary schedule for positions in the postal field service which shall be known as the Postal Field Service Schedule, and for which the symbol shall be " P E S ". Except as provided in sections 302 and 303 of this Act, basic salary shall be paid to all employees in accordance with this schedule. POSTAL F I E L D
