JOINT RESOLUTION March 21, 1955 [H. J. Res. 252] Making an additional appropriation for the Department of Justice for the fiscal year 1955, and for other purposes.

Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That there is hereby appropriated, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated,for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1955, the following sum: DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE LEGAL ACTIVITIES AND GENERAL ADMINISTRATION FEES AND EXPENSES OF WITNESSES

For an additional amount for "Fees and expenses of witnesses", $710,000. Approved March 21, 1955.

AN ACT March 23, 1955 [S. 942] To repeal Public Law 820, Eightieth Congress (62 Stat. 1098), entitled "An Act to provide a revolving fund for the purchase of agricultural commodities and raw materials to be processed in occupied areas and sold."

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That Public Law 820, Eightieth Congress (62 Stat. 1098). entitled "An Act to provide a revolving fund for the purchase of agricultural commodities and raw materials to be processed in occupied areas and sold", is hereby repealed. 5 USC 234-234f. Effective date. SEC. 2. This Act shall take effect on June 30, 1955. Approved March 23, 1955.

JOINT RESOLUTION March 25, 1955 [H. J. R e s. 250] To amend the joint resolution of March 25, 1953, relating to electrical or mechanical office equipment for the use of Members, officers, and committees of the House of Representatives.

House of Representatives. Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That subsection (c) of the first section of the joint resolution entitled "Joint resolution to authorize the Clerk of the House of Representatives to furnish certain electrical or mechanical office equipment for the use of Members, officers, and committees of the House of Representatives", approved March 25, 1953 (2 U.S.C. sec. 112a (c)), is amended by striking out "not more than two of each of". Electrical or mechanical office equipment. 67 Stat. 7. SEC. 2. The first section of such joint resolution is further amended by adding after subsection (c) thereof the following new subsection: " (d) Except in case of electric typewriters, not more than two of each of the general types of equipment described in subsection (c) may be furnished under this joint resolution for use in the office of a Member, officer, or committee." Approved March 25, 1955.
