at by agreement between the Secretary and the persons claiming such right, title, or interest. Nothing in this Act shall affect the authority of the Attorney General to conduct litigation affecting the United States, and no funds available for purposes of this Act shall be available for paying any judgment or settlement arising out of any such litigation. CHAPTER 282

AN ACT To amend the Act entitled "An Act to provide better facilities for the enforcement of the Customs and immigration laws", to increase the amounts authorized to be expended.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Act of June 26, 1930 (46 Stat. 817), as amended by the Act of October 10, 1940 (54 Stat. 1091), and by the Act of September 26, 1951 (65 Stat. 336; U.S.C., 1952 edition, title 19, sec. 68), is further amended by striking from the proviso the figures "$15,000" and "$30,000", and substituting therefor the figures "$30,000" and "$60,000", respectively. CHAPTER 283

AN ACT To revive and reenact the Act entitled "An Act authorizing the Ogdensburg Bridge Authority, its successors and assigns, to construct, maintain, and operate a bridge across the Saint Lawrence River at or near the city of Ogdensburg, New York". Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Act approved August 19, 1950, heretofore extended by an Act approved August 14, 1953, authorizing the Ogdensburg Bridge Authority, its successors and assigns, to construct, maintain, and operate a bridge and approaches thereto across the Saint Lawrence River, so far as the United States has jurisdiction over the waters of such river, at a point suitable to the interests of navigation, at or near the city of Ogdensburg, be, and is hereby, revived and reenacted: Provided, That this Act shall be null and void unless the actual construction of the bridge herein referred to be commenced within four years and completed within six years from the date of approval hereof. SEC. 2. The right to alter, amend, or repeal this Act is hereby expressly reserved. Approved May 18, 1956. Public Law 530
