SALARIES AND EXPENSES
For an additional amount for "Salaries and expenses", to be allocated for expenses necessary to discharge such civil defense and defense mobilization functions performed by other Federal agencies, as may be designated by the Office of Civil and Defense Mobilization, including payments by Department of Labor to State employment security agencies for the full cost of administration of defense manpower mobilization activities, $3,250,000. For an additional amount for "Federal-aid highways (trust fund)", to remain available until expended, $188,000,000, or so much thereof as may be available in and derived from the "Highway trust fund", which sum is part of the amount authorized to be appropriated for the fiscal year 1959. METROPOLITAN POLICE
For an additional amount for "Metropolitan Police", $406,000, of which $60,000 shall be payable from the Highway fund and $346,000, from the general fund.
